PHPBAY/ZON vs Mage Ebay/Amazon
This post is to bring to your attention the difference in the look of your posts using phpBay Pro and phpZon vs the standard Mage posts from ebay and amazon.
phpBay and phpZon are paid WordPress plugins that give you more control over the look and feel of your site. If you are looking for site enhancements then these plugins are what you need. Shown below are the differences between the two. Also there are different looks you can achieve through the settings functions of these plugins.

Or at least any group of products that are related to that keyword or keyword phrase…

I tried to pimp a site that I write all of my articles personally and when I put the phpbay code in, at the bottom of the article it came up all
“buy domains” type of content for the items.
Is there a way, that you know of, to be specific about the types of products that will display in a personally written article?
I was hoping that it would have taken maybe a keyword from the title of the article, but it didn’t.
I put the category number in, for the niche, but I wanted to try to put in the actual keyword that would bring up a certain product… Is that possible?
Not sure where to go from here…

Mark if you are writing your own articles you need to create the call for the products by adding the keyword to the call
[phpbay]add your keyword, add category number[/phpbay] this is the simplest way to do it.

I am wondering if you are having better luck with the “Display “Buy it Now” Items Only” setting or the “Auction” setting, when it comes to setting up your phpBay settings?
I let the visitor select that.

That seems to work just fine Mike.
I do notice that if I append 100 products and Pre-pend 3 products, that the 3 products that are pre-pended are the same as the first 3 products that are appended.
(duplicate, because they are two separate templates).
Will this hurt my SEO, having 3 duplicate products on the same pages?
It should not hurt. i have it that way on all my sites.

Has anyone ever had this error, when trying to append a template code to an existing large site?

My site has over 10,000 pages but I would never expect that I would not be able to append something in “Posting Mage”
Is there a way to work around this?

Mark split your posts up into categories and reduce the amount of them you are trying to append at a time

I bought the phpZon and was able to set it up using your excellent video. I have one question about displaying amazon products in 2 columns.
I used the phpzon icon on post page to come up with the following:
[phpzon keywords="soccer" num="10" country="US" searchindex="Shoes" trackingid="invesideas08-20" sort="-launch-date" templatename="columns" columns="2" paging="true"]
However I am not sure how to convert it using {KEYWORD} in mage instead of the actual keyword (soccer). Any help would be appreciated.

You can create a template using the code you show but replace the “soccer” with {$KEYWORD}. Also you might look at the video on TripleZon it works in conjunction with phpZon

Thanks for all the loads of information that you have provided on this site. You make it easy to make tough decisions. I am definitely going to buy phpZon thru your link. I just had one question about it though. Can I still continue to use the standard Mage Amazon listing along with phpZon listing on the same page? I would like to mix both the formats. I am hoping you can do this using templates but just wanted to make sure.
