There has been some concern buy individuals that they need to find those elusive domains that have been around for a while. Well in the short what you really need is quality backlinks. Yes if a domain has been around for awhile it might have more quality backlinks than a domain that is not to old. Also the inverse is true. I have placed a video here from Google on their thought about domain age.
What are your thoughts on this subject.

My thought on the matter is that Matt Cutts is a “professional Misleader.”
I’ve been watching these films from him for years now and I’m no better off monetarily than I was before as far as optimizing for google goes…
A Domains’ age DOES mean something, even without any backlinks at all. I can’t say how much, but I’ve certainly noticed that my 5-year old sites can hang onto rankings much easier than my new sites, even if the new sites have more juicy links.
-Of course it could be argued that the “juicy links” to the new sites must be new, but either way it’s better to have old stuff than new stuff, be it domains or links. – And you simply cannot had old links on a new domain.
