Updating Extra Feeds On Web Traffic Genius
If you are a user of Web Traffic Genius and have installed this great plugin on your other sites you may know that you have to update the extra feeds feature again manually.
Well I have a solution for you, until the update comes out from Tim. I conversed with him yesterday and he said this technique will work and the next update will alleviate the problem.
So I decided to create this short video (you know me) on how to take all your extra feed information from one install to another.
Let me know if this helps you out.

Does WTG unpack future scheduled posts as they are posted and the feed takes place?
If WTG is activated during the generation process the posts will be unpacked. If you set up a cron the posts that unpack will be processed in the feed. It is advised that the WTG plugin be deactivated during posts generation. This will allow the program to run faster.

I know it has helped me on my sites. I use it on all of them.

I found the answer to my laset question about logins and passwords. Please ignore my previous comment.
Hi, I have another question.
I am configuring Web Traffic Genius WordPress now.
I’ve created accounts with feedage.com, feedagg.com and other, can I use the same accounts (logins & passw.) for my other wpmage sites?
Or I should create different accounts for my other wpmage sites?
You can use the same account info for the other sites. Just use the export/import feature to make it easy.
@Mager:
On the second video (configuration) Tim showed command for cron.php. His command ended with public.html and then he added cron.php.
We, magers have a lot of sites, so our command will be different like this: public.html/mywebsite.com/cron.php
Am I right?
Yes Nadia you need the whole command line including public.html/mywebsite.com/cron.php
The whole command would be something on the effect of php -q /home/yourID/public_html/yourwebsite.com/cron.php
Ohh, never mind. I am a newbie to wpmage, for me you’re a guru. I was just wondering how long did it take for you to become a master mage.
Not to long just keep at it
I just bought web traffic genius today and started installing and configuring it when I came acrros your post on the mage forum. My extra feeds files are empty for now. I think I will use your tips later on.
Anyway I watched your video, thank you for sharing this with us.
By the way, how long do you work with WP mage?
Thanks for stopping by and please clarify your question on How long I work with WP Mage.
Hi Mike, thanks for the tip. I thought that there should be a way to copy the WTG extra feeds from site to site and your quick explanation saved me the trouble of finding it out on my own.
John,
Glad to help.
Thanks for a great tip Mike, I am thinking of getting WTG and this will be very helpful.
Wow, thx for the quick answer! How does it work – will it unpack the post before submitting when the Cron job is run? And what are these ‘extra feeds’ that we have to handle manually?
KC send me a PM to discuss this
