Here is a short video on the process used to install WPMage to your domain. This video is based on installing the software on a sacrificial domain.

Mike, I have, as far as I know, followed all your instructions on the install but when I get to the “type the site name in a blank browser”, the only thing that comes up for me is the site theme page, nothing to do with the install. Where have I gone astray?
Ken
Ken did you get this figured out?
What is the purpose of WPMage?
If I have CPMage installed, why would I want WPMage?
When you say “sacrificial domain”, does that mean that
the domain can’t have any content on it?
I screwed up with my first host that had CPMage installed
by Greg’s team and now I have to start over with a new host.
I have a domain hosted that I could use as a “sacrificial domain”
that already has content on it. How should I proceed? Do I have
to delete the existing content?
WPMage is for creating blogs with out using CPMage. WPMage can be installed on the root domain. It is a automatic installation of Word Press and all the Mage plugins. If you have a root domain that has stuff on it you still can put CPMage on it also.
WPmage Mike
Thanks

Hello Mike,
I have listened and followed your video to install WPmage. Everything went well however when I finally typed in the domain name (main) WPmage didn’t come up.
The truth is I do have another WP template installed on it, only I thought the the WPmage installation will over ride it.
How can I fix this problem? On the other hand I have also added a new sub-domain an wanted to upload the WPmage to it, when I realized that I already have it on the main domain. How can I apply WPmage to this sub-domain so it will come up?
Many thanks Mike for your excellent videos and all your help. Really
Olghi
Are you installing WPMage or CPMage?
Mike,
Thanks! Nice and clear explanation of the process, but if I have say 10 sites using shared hosting, 1 IP, (eg:Hostgator), where exactly should I be installing WPMage for the new autoblog domain?
Do I create a new add-on domain like http://www.firstautoblog.com and install in the root of that new domain, or in the root of the parent http://www.myhostgatoraccount.com?
Thanks,
Steve
You can either is using WPMage.
The video is great, but despite following the instructions I have ended up on my site page saying Error Establishing a Database Connection. And I don’t Know What I have done wrong.I could not finch the process of uploading and extracting the WP mage . I Don’t have CP mage uploaded yet.How can I fix it??? Please help me. I will appreciated very much. Thank you.

Hi Mike
is the sacrificial site an operating/monetized blog too?
Thanks again
Christine
You can put WPMage on it and monetize it also.
Thanks
Hi Mike
yet another great, easy to follow video.
Do you upload WPmage for every domain you add under your sacrificial domain? So far I’ve uploaded CPmage and now WPmage to my sacrificial site….
Thanks
Christine
Today I was listening to a webinar by Greg on wpmage and your site was mentioned as a reference. Just watched your video on installing wpmage on a host. Your style is incredibly instructional and easy to follow. Thank You for making this video and for having this site to assist us newbies with wpmage.
I’m sure I’ll be a ‘regular’ on your site.

Hi Mike,
I watched your video on installing wp mage, but I don’t have a cpanel for the web hosting account I’m working with. I’ve already installed Word Press. How do I get the WP Mage plugins installed? There is a “mage-plugins.zip” file. Do I go to WP plugins, and upload and install that zip file? Or do I unzip it first, then upload the individual folders into my WP Content/plugins folder? Thanks.
Lee Hansen
Lee you can unzip it and ftp the plugins you want to the plugins folder.
