Create An Ebay Campaign

If you are accepted by the Ebay Partner Network you will need to create campaigns for each one of your sites that you are promoting Ebay products on. There is some discussion on this subject in that some individuals say you do not need a campaign for each site that you can use the a single campaign number for many sites.
I currently am of the belief that putting more than one site into a campaign is advantages. It helps improve your EPC on poor producing sites.
If you are using the basic Mage call for your eBay listings then you may want to have a single campaign for each site for tracking purposes. If you have phpBay use the CustomID feature and put many sites into a single campaign. It is your call
So I developed this short video on creating a Ebay campaign. It is a very simple process but I wanted to do this for anyone who was unsure on how to accomplish the task.
Just click the play button to watch the video. Please let me know if it was helpful by leaving a comment or send me a PM in the forum.

Hi Mike,
1. I was understanding your recommendation in the Mage forum at:
http://wpmage.com/spellbook/circle/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8005&start=10#p44394
to say that bundling sites into one campaign ID (then tracking clicks with the customID in phpBay) would help the EPC that EPN allows.
What you say above seems to contradict that. Can you clarify?
2. In a different post on the same thread at:
http://wpmage.com/spellbook/circle/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8005#p43826
you said that you could use the customID through phpBay to “see which site provided the clicks and/or sales.” Can you see sales through the customID or does it take a campaignID for each site to be able to see which site generated the sales? And does that result in a lower EPC?
Thanks,
Bob

Bob I put many sites in a single campaign to help EPC. Also if you are using phpBay you can put in a CustomID to track that individual site in EPN. To track them you have to download a transaction report from EPN then you can sort it as desired.
Hi Mike
thanks for the video – you make it look easy – as always. Are there any tricks to getting approved for the EPN?
Thanks
Christine
Follow Greg’s PDF for EPN. Read it over a few times. EPN can be picky.
