I’m on youtube right now trying to learn how to use Amy’s idea of WP-MU. I think I’ll start with a .info as a add-on, and go from there, and next week when my friend gets his new server/CPanel up, I’ll build some on a stand alone that has some “google love”, and see how well that works too.

the site is up and working on the domain i set it up on, but i cant access the backend , or frontend of a new add-on blog when i try…
that’s the wrench in the whole works right there…

The thing is, myself or other mages have experienced not being able to get good expired domains and sometimes, need to get new domains without any backlinks…So the question of driving traffic becomes essential and I was trying to understand which traffic software tool would drive the quickest and consistent traffic to my mage sites (other than PPC).

So, I guess you have also tried the other software available in the market and preferred the Web traffic Genius most?

Will you consider providing a vid on simplified tracking & using tracking ID’es for the different affilitate programs (amazon, ebay, overstock, CB, CJ, etkc.)?

I’d really like a straightforward, ez way to track what’s working & what’s not so I can intelligently prioritize which campaigns to “beef” up versus which may need reworking. Thing is this needs to be simple and quick so that it doesn’t take away from building sites.

Any suggestions? What techniques are you using?

I don’t want to get off topic, but love the videos. I was wondering about setting up cron jobs. I would like to use Web Traffic Genius to create backlinks. Haven’t made the purchase yet, but I was more than a bit intimidated when I checked out how to set up a cron to release the posts. If you get a chance, maybe a quick video, or post on the how to… I don’t think I’m the only one without a clue on this one.

Just watched a few of your vids. They have been really helpful and it is great that you take the time to share your knowledge with us all. I do have a question though, that I have not been able to find on the forum. I may even have missed it on your videos. Keep in mind, that I am a complete dunce when it comes to WP.

On my sites with 5 or 6 categories, these are related obviously, but the CB product is different for each one. Is there any way to post some sort of ad, whether a hopad (which, BTW, I just learned about from your video), banner or whatever, specific to each category, in other words, a different CB product on each category.

On one site, I have had 500-800 visitors a day for the last 3 weeks but have not really been able to monetize it. Adsense hasn’t gotten me anywhere, just a few pennies.

I don’t know if I made myself clear, but would appreciate the help.

Just to let you know I am new to the mage. In fact I just purchased the mage master. I installed the cpmage to my new hostgator account. Everything went fine until when I entered my db info into my cpmage panel. It keeps comming up with an error message of 1102 that the db info is incorrect. I have checked it and reentered it a dozen times. I sent a support ticket and they told me I must have put it in wrong. Like I said I have checked and rechecked. Can you help?
I thought about deleting the the data base but I don’t want to mess it up.
I am not that much of a computer wizard.

I understand that you normally construct your sites initially with just one post, is that so you can alter the templates to include phpBay, phpZon ?.

I have been considering building ’sniper sites’ using info domains( with the cpmage system and only one initial post ), targetting a specific term with high search volume and not too much competition , ranking for that specific term, and then start adding posts for products in that niche.

I have got the installation down where I have the WPMage on a sacrificial domain, so I can build multiple sites. I am looking to put the program on a standalone domain that will be resting on it’s own class C IP address. I am sure this install is different than the one for bulk, or no? Since our last converations about a week ago I have now built 7 sites and am wanting to start some customising of my sites before building more.

First, how long before you started seeing some decent traffic to your sites?

I am thinking of installing PHPBayPro and PHPZon from your links – and want to know – do they make a considerable difference to your bottom line?

Does using customised templates also make a difference?

Do you do anything to improve linking of your sites to make your sites are more attractive to Google?

I just bought master mage last week and it looks good. Found your site on forum and well done to you. One question on setting up hosting in the Mage manual they suggest using liquid for vps hosting. I currently use HostGator and was just going to upgrade my reseller to a VPS and also open a baby as well.

Is the hostgator VPS good for cp and wpmage just wondering as the liquid hosting is stated as preferred for vps and I am happy with HostGator

Tried the mage out for first time pimping a site. Got on good for trying it for the first time the editing of the templates is a great feature this system has great potential.

Regarding clickbank was worried about cloaking as when hovering over links seen they showed up as full aff link. Spent time trying cloakers till I happened to look at the source code and seen it was Javascript(wish I done that first).

Can you verify this for me – Even although the full aff links appear hovering it does not matter as the search engines still wont read it as it is within javascript.

Real helpful stuff here, you do a great job. Three questions if I may.

1) Any progress on a video of how to correctly build a static homepage?

2) On my sites I have created various categories to make the site more specific to the user. Question is, how do I get the categories to show on the sidebar or wherever, What now shows is Recent Posts and Recommended? Is there a video anywhere on categories and how to show them.

3) Lastly, if I go to an epn report it shows some clicks on my sites, however, if i Check Stats of a site from Mage Admin page they all show as “no Clicks”, Do I have something set wrong somewhere?

If a mage post comes up with good content but non appropriate flikr photo or youtube video , can those parts be edited out of the post. Example for clarification. A Knife site that has a keywor of blade. The content is good, but the photo and video are showing windshield wiper shots. Can I not delete the post but somehow remove the photo and video?

I am still wondering about the WTG software and your thoughts about it. Do you still use this software on your sites?

I am in a traffic drought and I am looking for some way to enhance this without getting my IP banned from unpacking the posts (definitely don’t want to do that). I would purchase additional software if it would work effectively and would integrate well with the mage.

Are there any additional things that you do for your sites as far as traffic goes?

i bought the cpmage when it was first released . since then i am recieving so many emails promising better seo, better traffic,list building,
also other products .i just bought george brown’s the ultimation .was that necessary .am i wasting my time going through my e mail.i have got round to building my first site . but not got any further .i applied to amazon and clickbank put the details in to core options but not through the cpmage dashboard .i have now found out about access to the dashboard but there is no id info in amazon or clickbank that explains why there are no products showing on my site.after sending then an email to resend the info i have not heard from them. would it be quicker to apply again or would their be a problem with that.what is phpbay and phpzon and what are they used for

Just one example: I had to delete all my posts on my first site (because I loaded some of my keywords twice), and I found your recommendation for the “mass post manager” plug-in on the forum. It was easy to install, and I was able to delete all the posts in one click. What a timesaver!

I just bought WPmage and below is what I am planning to do, from your experience, am I on the right path. Please correct anything that is wrong.

1. I want to buy an expired domain and put both CPmage and WP mage plugins on it so I can use the same domain to create a site that I can use to apply for EPN. I want to do this so the authority of this site can be carried over to other sites that I create on the hosting account. My plan is to find an expire domain that have information in the cache/archive that I can copy and use to populate the site so I can use the site to apply for EPN. Is this a good idea? Please advice

2. After you load CPmage on a domain, can you load WP mage plugins on the same domain to enable you to create a site on the same domain that you have CPMage on?

3. I am planning to use ipage hosting or kvchosting. Do you know if anybody is successfully using these 2 hosts for CPmage sites. What hosting companies are you using? I was reading the forum about hosting and I read a lot of people having problems with hosting companies concerning wpmage sites. Even some people were having problem with Hostgator which has been around for a long time and seems dependable. Money is very tight for me now so I can only afford share hosting and as I start making money, then I can switch to more powerful hosting, so I will really appreciate it if you can suggest some share hosting companies that are currently working for some people.

4. I hear of people back posting 1000s of post. For example if I buy an expire domain and it is 2 years old, since there are 365 days in a year, the it means it is 730 days old. How can you back post say 3000 postings when the domain is only 730 days old? Does this mean posting mage will be posting more than one post per day when it does the back posting or pimping?

I have purchased the Mage, and have built the first site. I’m more used to XSitePro than WP, so it is a learning curve for me!
I don’t want to create 1,000’s of poor quality sites… I really like the quality of the sites in your Blogroll – are they created with Mage? How many pages/posts are within? They are of the quality that I would like to mimick for my niches, and would probably need phpBay I guess. BTW, please check out your blogs as I think the Amazon listings are having problems.

Also, I too would like to know the answer to point number 4 in William’s comment above. If I am using a new domain, can I back post at all?

As a matter of fact I have just posted a message on the forum to you asking some of the questions I have, but I am going to ask it here again. Maybe it will help others as well.
What I am most confused about is do I have to have a new hosting account to use CPmage and WPmage efficiently.
I have a HostGator account, and didn’t want to have to open another so I asked Tech Support at HG to change my main domain to a new one in order to install CPmage on it thinking that I will add some more domains to my hosting account and created the mage sites with WPmage.
The only trouble is that I have one fully developed site on this account and I am worried if I install CPmage on this new main domain it will interfere with the existing site. I do have WP installed on the existing site. Anyhow I hope this is not too confusing. I would very much appreciate your input.

What is a good program to use to keep track of site statistics as well as EPN and Amazon stats also? What do you use to see what is drawing clicks and buyers. Greg says NOT to use Google Analytics, and I understand why. So what’s the alternative?

Hi Mike.Thanx for your site.I recently got my epn account.I pimped the site.Traffic soared and I made my first $95 online thru epn.But now nothing.The site seems to be all mixed up.As a visitor you cannot get to, say ,Nordic Jumps or Luge Training thru the categories on the part of the site I built up myself first.All you find is the pimped posts,which are also good ,but what happened to my skiing stuff?Any info would help.Kind regards Ingrid

I’m a new Mage (less than a month) and I am having problems finding a domain with decent backlinks, and a name that looks “pretty” as Greg suggests. Domain Mage says it displays 500 domains, but I only find about 50 that have more than 100 backlinks, and most of those are poor. I’ve read through all your posts and didn’t notice anything about getting good domains to register. Any thoughts about Domain Mage or other ways to find expiring domains with a list of backlinks? hi mike……it would be great if i could resolve my issues with someone like you as i dont seem to be getting anywhere with the support desk….what i mean is they think im experienced when im not and so im not understanding exactly what needs to be done….believe me ive listened to and read the pdfs. ive just purchased cpmage. cpmage is installed on my host and on my domain. ive just purchased another domain called raveninsurance.com and have put that into the first step of building my site but the message below appears.

I have just bought Mage and have started to get my head around all the information.

I picked up your url from the Mage forum and I have to say that the information you have put together here is absolutely fantastic (bookmarked already). I think it will go a long way in reducing the Mage learning curve for me.

I have a couple of questions if you don’t mind me asking.

1. Is ReviewAzon compatible with Mage. I have used that a lot on some of my domains.

2. I noticed from a previous post you said that you have back dated posts on brand new domain names (say purchased today). Is that possible to do without being flagged by Google?

3. Mage states that Blue Host and Host Monster are not compatible, do you know of any other hostings that are not compatible. I have just started using Just Host and Host Papa and was wondering if there is any problems with them.

hi mike I’m new with cpmage and I’m so confused i bought the cpmage system and also got myself 4 domains from godaddy and got myself web hosting from coolhandle and they installed for me the cpmage on one of the domains and i started building sites i put up 2 sites and i find it not that simple i never blogged before so i have some questions
1. i choose to make product focused sites so the way to find a good niche for that they explain in the pdf that i souled go to the eBay categories and look for a category that haves allot of products under it so my question is if the fact that this category haves allot of products in it dos that mean that allot of people are looking for that ?
2. if yes so there are allot of sites on that why should someone come to my site for that

Can you give me a bit of advice regarding backdating posting. I have set up my first site in Mage and I am ready to put posts on it. If the domain is only 7 months old and has not been used before is it OK to backdate for just those 7 months. Or is it advisable to predate only?

There’s a lot of Jim’s on here. Anyway, I have 20 Mage sites up. But still no money from adsense. But I guess I need more sites. You’d think I’d get a buck or two. I wish there was a way to get on page one without the arm and a leg thing through PPC. I also wish I could sell the sites on Flippa. When can Mages do that? What happens if you delete a site from the Mage then rebuild it withOUT the Mage using Plugins or original content? How does that work?

I’ll say it again …your videos are a tremendous help. Question…you talk about building a site and then you wait for it to be indexed before loading it with posts. What’s the reason for that? Why not just create the posts when you create the site. I know there must be a reason that you know and I don’t.

Sorry one more question I bought a bunch of aged high quality sites, but they are not blogs. Do I have to turn them all into blogs or can I just add a blog to the site, eg: helpforbaldness.com/blog

If it is way better to create blogs out of the HTML sites what is involved? how time consuming is it? and how difficult is it? I’ll outsource it but it gives me an idea of what to expect

Would you do a video on how to create videos. Before going to automated posts I want to draw attention to the blogs and would love to do it with a video but all the explanations for how to make a video are so complicated I TOTALLY GIVE UP

Just so you know I have both a MAC and a PC if that makes any difference, but I do not have a video camera I also have Jing but the instructions there are truly hopeless.

In addition to the video showing us how to make a video, would you please show us how to pimp a site, like how do you keep all your categories intact etc?

I installed phpzon a couple of weeks ago. Before that I had straight AMAZON LISTINGS and was selling 6-15 items per month. Since then I’ve added more sites and am getting 20-35 amazon clicks per day, but not one sale since zon was installed. I don’t think I did anything wrong in the setup, but bmore clicks with zero sales. Two questions if I may First is there any way to test if the zon links are workingg correctly, and second if need be how do I kill the zon listings on my sites and revert to my previous straight Amazon listings on all my existing posts and future posts.
Any other advice you have will be greatly appreciated. As I say I’m extra confused because the clicks are showing on the daily reports

I like to change the theme to another theme not provided by the WPmage. eg like the theme you are using. Am I suppose to just upload new theme to the existing website and do I have to add in all the plugins to the new theme? How do i do that and is there a video that I can watch?

I took your advice and ordered SEO Pressor. Unfortunately I cannot get access to the plug in. They are not accepting my clickbank order number. There is no sound on their videos (after the first one). They are not responding to my trouble tickets. I am going to have to request a refund since at this point I’ve not received anything on this.

Got SEO Pressor working finally.

Is there an easier way to add no follow to the external links than manually inserting them on the html page?

Also, when SEO Pressor refers to Alt Tags set to your keywords, how do you fix this. I changed the titles and picture captions to my keyword and it altered the word density but didn’t change seo pressors X status on this issue. Am I missing something? Also, I thought that its good to have specific product titles for the pictures to attract long tail searches?

Finally, how does SEO Pressor optimize your posts unless you go into every post which is really difficult if you are using Mage?

I’ve got a 0% rating on most of my Mage posts.

I also am curious how you prevent WTG from swamping the aggregator sites when you schedule WTG to run a chron job on thousands of back dated Mage posts.

I just finished building 50 Mage sites – 20 are used domains and 30 are brand new domains. Now, I need to drive traffic to these sites. I am thinking of using Miracle Traffic Bot and SEO Pressor. Do you have any other suggestions of driving traffic to these new mage sites? Also, what do you think about youtube videos on each site to create a back link from youtube?
